PZL (ANTONOV) An-2 AIRCRAFT
Designed by Oleg Antonov in Russia in 1947 to specifications of the ministry of agriculture and forestry of the U.S.S.R. approximately 20,000 An-2s were built between 1950 and 1992 in Russia, China, and Poland. N87AN was built by PZL MI ELEC, Poland in 1987.
An-2s have been and still are being used as agricultural planes, commuter airliners, parachute jump planes, freight haulers, military utility transports, forest fire-fighters and for many purposes on wheels, skis and floats.
